TIMIKA- Nies World tv– Deputy Governor of Central Papua, Deinas Geley, along with Puncak Regent Elvis Tabuni and other ministers, officially opened the 4th Synod Conference of the Indonesian Gospel Tabernacle Church (GKII) Region II, Central Papua, at the GKII Timika Building on Tuesday (10/13/2026).
The conference began with the inauguration of the GKII Timika Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Puncak Regent Elvis Tabuni, witnessed by Central Papua Deputy Governor Deinas Geley. The conference was followed by a service and the opening ceremony. The conference is scheduled to take place from October 13-17, 2026. Delegates from 28 classes under the auspices of GKII Region II, Central Papua, from Puncak, Intan Jaya, and Puncak Jaya Regencies, attended the conference.
The conference was originally planned to be held in Puncak Regency, the host city. However, due to unfavourable security conditions and lack of facilities, the conference was moved to Timika. The permanent committee chairman is Thomas Tabuni, who currently serves as Chairman of the Puncak DPRK.
